When it comes to making people laugh, you can never go wrong with a goofy face. Take a couple of photos of you and your spouse-to-be making silly faces. Arrange those pictures into a collage and use it as a backdrop for your printed invites. Or you might want to try this.

Bridezillas, My Fair Wedding, the list goes on! Please tell me why this is, I got so mad at my friends for watching it that I grabbed my female friend’s Ipod and threw it in the toilet, breaking it instantly, because I was so furious.

1. Why are so many shows focused on weddings? So fucking boring.

2. Why do SO MANY reality shows focus on women? Not too many shows about men, but so many about women?

3. Why do you women watch crap like this? Its gotten to the point where Barack Obama should do something about it. Seriously, enough is enough. Big deal- you want a nice wedding. Who doesn’t? You spend thousands of dollars on one day, and Most marriages end in divorce. What about a show about divorce for all you pink wearing, pansy mushy females that only care about the wedding and not your husband!

Also, on an unrelated note. My boyfriend’s other sister got married last year, his cousin was married the year before. And his sister mentioned above is getting married later this year. I understand that I’m not officially part of the family, but I am pretty close with most of the women in his family. His sisters and his cousins. I was not asked to be a part in any of the weddings. I understand that it’s their wedding, it’s their choice…but I was a tad bit offended. I know that being offended for that really is stupid and petty. But I was even more so offended when I was invited to the bridal showers, but not the bachlerette (sp?) party. At first I didn’t know if only the bridal party usually goes to that so I didn’t take it personally…but a ton of the brides friend’s went. So I felt like I was invited to the shower just so she could get more presents when she didn’t even want me to be with her to celebrate. I know this is all so petty and it shouldn’t be about me at all. But it’s how I feel. I’m even closer to the sister getting married this year than I am with the sister that got married last year and she didn’t ask me to be in the wedding at all either. So my question is…when my bf and I do get married, would it be incredibly petty and bitchy of me to not have any of them in my wedding? Even though I don’t have many female friends that I’m close enough to warrant asking them to be in my wedding. I know it’s a bitchy move, but I don’t want people in my wedding who wouldn’t want me in theirs.
Oh, and I went with the sister that’s getting married later this year to look around at wedding stuff and she’s apparently planning it with her sister and a friend, because they’ve both just been married. So the whole time we were out she would disregard any opinions I had and call one of the girls and repeatedly said things like “oh, I wish you were here” …I just felt incredibly left out and like all she needed me there for was for a ride. I didn’t say anything to her or my bf because I know it’s not about me…it’s HER wedding…I just can’t help feeling this way.
I know that at the time, they both have other things to worry about than my feelings. I think it all just hurt me because I thought we were closer. I understand that I’m still just the girlfriend, but I thought we were more friends than just their brother’s girlfriend. I’ve noticed though, that his sisters still seem to think of me as just the girlfriend, but his brother already calls me his sister in law and his parents already treat me like a daughter and call me their daughter in law and say “I love you” when we get off the phone or leave from their house. But thank you to amandadanielle84, I think your answer made me feel the best after reading it. I do just need to focus on my relationship right now and not worry so much about getting married and whatnot.

Also, someone else said something about a justice of the peace wedding. I’ve told my bf that I didn’t care if it was like that or a ceremonial wedding, I just wanted to marry him. He still wants to save up for a ring and stuff.
